CBCT Scan vs Traditional X-Ray
In this video, Austin cosmetic and implant dentist Dr. Brandon Hall explains the distinguishing factors that set modern 3D cone beam scans apart from traditional Panorex X-rays.
What is the difference between a CBCT or 3D X-ray and a conventional X-ray? And the difference is very vast. It’s a 3D versus a 2D image. Three dimensional. Gives us so much better diagnostic quality and ability to diagnose, treat and see problems, identify problems.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) gives us the ability to place and use implants with much better quality and preciseness versus two-dimensional X-rays. So 3D X-rays are fantastic. This is our 3D machine here at Aspire Dental. We use this on all many dental implant patients. And it’s a fantastic tool. We love it.
